FedExForum
Background
The FedExForum is the Mid-South area’s premier sports and entertainment venue, located in downtown Memphis. It also is situated one block from Memphis’ renowned Beale Street entertainment district, and the Forum’s construction impact on the district was a primary concern. In anticipation of arena construction, the new Memphis Arena Public Authority commissioned Clark+Associates Architects to conduct a construction-impact analysis on historic buildings and to coordinate ongoing monitoring efforts on several historic Beale Street buildings. As a result, the firm helped mitigate any possible damage that could occur during construction.
